With a bit of Daniel luck, I found a whole bunch of my common Tongan cycling sights together in one small stretch of road! Just missing a few fat sauntering pigs, and a rabid dog chasing me...
(The quality is not fantastic, but it took a crazy long time to upload this without errors, so I'm pretty happy about it).

Thanks for sharing a bit of your biking experience with us.... We can hardly wait to visit. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteDo the bad dogs only hastle you when you are biking? Have you ever run into one while walking?
MoM
Yah, only while I'm biking. Unlike J Maarten Troost, I've never needed to carry a few rocks with me on a walk around the island.
ReplyDeleteActually I just had a talk with the Aussie who works at the school, we both bike a lot here, all about the Tonga dog phenomenon. When you get here, I'll tell you some stories, since they'll be much more exciting with hand gestures!
Chiiickens... Bananas.... Mudholes... Wheeeee!
ReplyDeleteThat's Dan, he says what he sees.
ReplyDeleteBiking, holding a camera, AND talking...its not for the faint of heart
ReplyDeleteWow, if you had dogs too, something would have to give. You can't talk, hold the camera, AND fight off the dogs. I know somehow fighting dogs would be high on the priorities though.
ReplyDeleteI pointed your Grandparents to the video. My Mom said Grampa watched it twice and he got dimples in his face, and she played it about 5 times. Wanted to share that with you...

Oh man, that's a great video. Biking there sounds way more exciting than biking in Ottawa or Urbana.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an amazing place Dan! Glad the dogs stayed away for the video...Love you xo
